Super Simple Venison Spaghetti Recipe
The Super Simple Venison Spaghetti Recipe is one of my favorite quick meals to make for my family. I cook it all the time. It’s easy, filling, and full of flavor. I’m going to walk you through it like a friend in the kitchen with you.

Super Simple Venison Spaghetti
Ingredients
Method
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground venison, and cook until browned. Break it up as it cooks.

- While that is browning, bring a large pot of water to boil over high heat. I fill up the large pot between ½-¾ of the way full.
- Once the water is boiling, pour in the box of noodles, turn down the heat to medium-high, and boil them for 10-12 minutes. You can follow the directions on the box of pasta.
- Once the pasta is done, drain, and add in the butter and salt and pepper.
- Once the venison is browned, pour in the spaghetti sauce. Do NOT drain the meat. Add salt and pepper to taste. That just means, add a bit of each, taste it, and then add more if you want more flavor.

- Serve with garlic bread and veggie and you are set. Enjoy!

Simple Ingredients for Venison Spaghetti Sauce & Pasta
You’ll only need a few simple things and you might already have these common ingredients in your pantry:
- 1 box of spaghetti noodles (any kind you like)
- 1–2 jars of spaghetti sauce
- 1 to 1½ pounds of ground venison
- Optional: 1–2 tablespoons of olive oil for extra moisture
- 2–3 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- Parmesan cheese (fresh grated or whatever you have on hand)

Let’s Get Cooking Venison Spaghetti
Fill a large pot about three-fourths full of water. Put it on high heat and bring it to a boil.
While that’s heating up, place your ground venison in a skillet over medium heat. You can add a little olive oil if you want extra fat, but you don’t have to. Venison is lean, so we’re NOT draining it. That’s right—no fat to pour off here.
Cook until the meat is fully browned. Then pour in your jar (or two) of spaghetti sauce. Stir it around. Turn off the burner or keep it on low heat if you like it hot. You just want the venison meat sauce to stay warm.
By now, your water should be boiling. Add your noodles. Turn the heat down a bit—medium to medium-high—and cook for about 10–12 minutes. Once they’re tender, drain the noodles and pour them back into the pot.
Add butter, salt, and pepper to your noodles. Stir until the butter melts and everything is coated.
Now you can plate up your pasta and spoon the rich ground deer meat sauce over the top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. The simple and deep flavor of the venison is a great way to change up spaghetti. Dinner is served.

I love serving this with garlic bread, garlic toast, or even garlic knots. A side of fresh steamed broccoli is perfect too.
This meal makes an easy Sunday supper that feels like comfort food. My whole family loves it. It’s a simple family favorite that never lasts long.

Leftovers
If you have leftovers, you’ve hit the jackpot. This spaghetti is great for meal prep. Store it in an airtight container for 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator. It reheats beautifully for lunch or another quick dinner.

Why I Love Venison
I love using wild game in our kitchen. Venison is lean, clean, and full of protein. It’s the kind of meat that makes you feel good about what you’re feeding your family. My husband brings it home, and I turn it into hearty meals like this one. I substitute ground venison anywhere I would normally use ground beef. The best part? I never have to drain it.
