Frozen chicken wings aren’t on my normal meal rotation, but I will say that I made some frozen chicken wings in the oven this week that tasted pretty darn good. They were so quick and simple. I put them on the pan, baked them, and then covered them with bbq sauce. Simple and delicious!
Jump to RecipeIf you are like me, you don’t always remember to thaw the meat ahead of time, or maybe you just don’t have time. It will take you just a few minutes to get them on the pan and in the oven. Then you will have an hour to do what you want while they are baking. No thawing or prep work necessary.
I got these babies on sale this week and wanted to try them out. When I got them out of the freezer, I realized that I needed to find a way to make them from frozen, because I didn’t have 12 hours to thaw them in the fridge before making them.
What do they taste like?
They taste juicy and pretty darn good. We topped them with some bbq sauce and parmesan cheese and they were ready to go.
Why you will love this recipe
You will love this recipe because there is no prep work involved and it only takes about five minutes to get them onto the pan and into the oven. They taste good and are really juicy. Oh, and another thing, the clean up was easy and I was able to get some things done while the oven did the work.
Can I make these ahead?
They are way better hot. I made these for a late lunch because the boys were working and I wasn’t sure when they would be eating. I wanted to have something here for when they were ready to eat. They are best when they are right out of the oven. They were just ok later on that evening.
How many can you put on the pan?
You want to make sure that they are not touching. I was able to fit 12 large ones on the pan. Some were so big they looked like legs and not wings.
