Prep Time 10 minutes
Course: Breakfast, Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 3 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup Nesquik powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Equipment

  • large mixing bowl
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons:
  • Whisk or Spoon:
  • spatula
  • non-stick griddle or skillet

Method

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients Together in a Medium Mixing Bowl: 1 ½ cups all purpose flour, 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder, 1 tablespoon sugar, ¼ cup Nesquik Powder, and ¼ teaspoon salt in a medium sized mixing bowl.
  2. Add in 1 ½ cup milk, 3 tablespoons melted butter, 1 egg, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional).
  3. Stir until combined.
  4. Heat the griddle over medium heat (300 degrees). Make sure your baking temperature isn't too high.
  5. Spread butter over the top of the griddle or spray with a non-stick spray.
  6. Pour batter on the griddle and heat until small bubbles are formed on the first side. This will take 2-3 minutes at the most.
  7. Once you can see several bubbles, they are ready to flip.
  8. Flip the pancakes over and cook for about 30 seconds to one more minute.
  9. Take them off the griddle and serve warm.
  10. You can top them with maple syrup, fresh fruit, butter, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, or honey.
