Homemade Whipped Cream

You guys! Homemade whipped cream is amazing and so simple and quick to make. It has just the right texture and sweetness. Learning how to make homemade whipped cream with heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract is fun and easy.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (cold)
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 ¼ tsp. vanilla extract

Equipment

  • measuring cups/spoons
  • Mixer (handheld or counter top mixer either one)
  • chilled mixing bowl (glass or metal)

Method
 

  1. Start out by putting your mixing bowl in the freezer for 10 minutes.

  2. Take the bowl out of the freezer and pour in 2 cups of heavy whipping cream, ¾ cup of powdered sugar, and 1 ¼ tsp. vanilla extract.

  3. Mix these ingredients for a good 3-5 minutes. I use a handheld mixer, but you can do this by hand (gonna take a while) or with a counter top mixer.

  4. Around the five minute mark, you will see the consistency start to thicken and change.

  5. Keep mixing until stiff peaks form.

  6. Serve soon and enjoy.

Notes

Make sure the mixing bowl is chilled.
Mix it until stiff peaks form. Stiff peaks look like tiny mountain tops.
