Method
- Choose a medium bowl or large mixing bowl to mix your ingredients in.

- Use a whisk or a spoon to mix all the dry ingredients together until they are evenly distributed. Make sure there are no clumps of flour or sugar and that the seeds and oats are well incorporated.

- Combine the wet ingredients in a separate bowl.

- Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously to ensure a smooth, lump-free batter. Mix until all the dry ingredients are just moistened and combined.
- Add more milk a little at a time if you like thinner pancakes.

- Heat the griddle over medium heat (300 degrees).
- Spread butter over the top of the griddle or spray with a non-stick spray.
- Pour batter on the griddle and heat until bubbles are formed. ¼-½ cup of batter per pancake is usually about right.

- Once you can see several bubbles, they are ready to flip. This takes right around 2 ½- 3 minutes.
- Flip the pancakes over and cook for about one more minute.

- Take them off the griddle and serve warm.

- You can top them with syrup, berries, butter, powdered sugar, or honey.

Notes
These pancakes make a delicious snack. You can spread some peanut butter on them later on in the day and chow down. If you have left over sausage or bacon, you can use the pancake as a wrap and turn that into a quick to go snack.
To get the nutty flavor and heartiness that First Watch offers, you will want to make sure you add in the cornmeal, oats, flax seed, and sesame seeds. However, you can leave one or all of them out if you prefer a less textured and less nutty flavored pancake. Being that this is a copycat recipe that has been inspired by First Watch, I do not have nutritional information or nutritional data to share.
