Tips for the Christian Mom: 3 Faith-Filled Habits You Can Start Today
Life as a Christian mom can feel like one big juggling act. One minute you’re packing lunches, the next you’re refereeing sibling squabbles, then trying to sneak in a quiet time with the Lord between laundry cycles.
So, if you’re working in the home, outside the home, or both—this post is for you. God’s word is for you.
These aren’t tips to add more pressure. These are simple, grace-filled reminders to help you reset, refocus, and walk in step with the God who loves you deeply and equips you fully.
I’m Anna, and I help purpose-driven women be intentional right where they are. Below, I’m sharing three faith-filled tips for the Christian mom—and you can start them today, even if your coffee is cold and the house is loud.

Practical Tips for Spiritual Growth: Daily Habits to Live By
1. Give Yourself the Freedom to Hear God
“For it is God who is working in you, both to will and to work according to His good purpose.” – Philippians 2:13
Let’s start here: God is the One doing the work. Not just the dishes or the school drop-offs—but the deep heart work.
Sometimes we pour so much energy into our plans that we forget He already has the blueprint. When we shift from striving to listening, our whole mindset changes. We’re not supposed to have it all figured out—we’re invited to follow the One who does.
Try this today:
• Ask God to quicken your heart.
• Pray for clarity—where to step in, and where to step back.
• Give yourself margin to actually listen.
We can get so busy doing good things that we forget to check if we’re walking in step with Him. Spending time with God in daily prayer is key.

2. Know That You’re Equipped
“Now may the God of peace… equip you with everything good to do His will…” – Hebrews 13:20–21
Motherhood is not a role you were thrown into by accident. You were chosen and equipped—even on your worst day.
That doesn’t mean you always feel ready. But feelings aren’t facts. God says you have what you need for this season.
Here’s a little heart homework:
What lie have you been believing lately?
• “I’m not enough.”
• “I’m not doing this right.”
• “Other moms are better at this.”
Now, replace it with truth:
• “God equips me.”
• “I am working in partnership with Him.”
• “His strength is made perfect in my weakness.”
Write that truth on a sticky note. Put it on the fridge. Speak it when you’re folding towels or stirring spaghetti. These spiritual habits don’t take a lot of time and once you practice them, they will become part of your daily life.

3. Seek God Himself, Not Just His Will
To-do lists are great. But if we’re not careful, we can turn faith into a checklist—and miss the Person behind it all.
The goal isn’t productivity. It’s presence.
When I catch myself treating my relationship with God like a spiritual task list, I know it’s time to slow down. To seek Him—not just what He wants me to do.
Try this instead:
• Read one verse slowly and let it sink in.
• Write down a scripture and stick it on your mirror.
• Memorize one verse this week—yes, even if it’s just one!
We don’t need to “do more.” We need to be with God more. Simple prayers, practicing a practical tip, getting off of social media, memorizing Bible verses, and building a closer relationship with the Lord are so important.

Final Thoughts for Christian Moms and Women
Friend, you’re not alone in this. God sees your heart, your effort, and your overwhelm. And He’s not asking you to be perfect—He’s asking you to stay close.
I hope these three tips for the Christian mom bring you peace today:
• Freedom to hear God.
• Confidence that you’re equipped.
• A reminder to seek His presence, not just His plans.

Bonus: Simple, Faith-Filled Additions for the Christian Mom
These aren’t extra burdens—they’re invitations. Little shifts that help you lean into God’s wisdom, even in a full season of life. Think of them as reminders, not rules.
You don’t need much time—just a willing heart and the power of the Holy Spirit.
1. Powerful Tools You Already Have
• The Word of God—read one verse out loud during breakfast or before bed.
• Worship music—play it while folding laundry, driving, or cooking.
• The dinner table—make it a soft place to land, even if dinner is simple.
• Your to-do list—start it with one prayer or verse to keep your focus.
These small things can become good habits over time. They aren’t perfect—they’re practical.
2. Pouring Out Without Burning Out
• The best way to show love to your family members? Stay rooted in Christ Jesus first.
• Talk about the good news of the Gospel in everyday moments.
• Be honest about struggles and victories—it’s all part of God’s work in your life.
• Don’t compare your family life to someone else’s highlight reel.
The goal isn’t to do more. It’s to invite Jesus into what you’re already doing.
3. Staying Steady in a Busy Season
• If you’re a busy mom, don’t wait for a perfect Bible study setup—open the Bible anyway.
• There are always practical ways to live out your faith, even with little ones tugging at you.
• In every season of life, God’s wisdom is still the best guide.
• The power of the Holy Spirit is available to you—right here, right now.
You don’t need to be everything. You just need to be faithful.
