Swedish Pancakes in the Oven

These Swedish oven puffed pancakes are so fun to make! The recipe for how to make Swedish pancakes in the oven is as simple as 1, 2, 3. You can have them ready to go in 30-40 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk (2% or whole)
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup butter (Melt this in the baking dish in the oven while it is preheating)

  • 9 x 13 baking dish
  • large mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and let one stick of butter melt in a 9x13 rectangular pan that you place in the oven while it is preheating.

  2. Mix together 2 cups milk, 5 eggs, 1 cup flour, ½ tsp. Salt, and 1 tbs. Sugar. I use a mixer.

  3. Pour the pancake batter right onto the melted butter in the hot baking dish and bake for 30 minutes. Do not mix it around.

Notes

Don’t panic when it starts puffing up. That can throw a lot of people off if it is their first time making this recipe.  
Definitely sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
Remember that you can serve this at any meal. 
Pour batter directly onto the melted butter and do not stir around. 
Make sure you pour the batter into a hot buttery baking dish. 
Look for that perfect golden color to help you know that this puffed oven pancake is done.
