Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies with Self-Rising Flour (Fluffy & Easy Recipe)

Soft chocolate chip cookies made with self-rising flour for alight texture and stay deliciously tender even into the next day.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter flavored Crisco
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • cups self-rising flour
  • tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1-2 cups chocolate chip morsels

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350° & line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the wet ingredients for 4 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
    1 cup butter flavored Crisco, 1 cup white granulated sugar, ½ cup packed brown sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  3. In a large bowl, stir together the self-rising flour, salt, and baking soda.
    2½ cups self-rising flour, 1½ tsp. salt, 1 tsp. baking soda
  4. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients BY HAND. Do not over-mix.
  5. Stir in 1-2 cups of chocolate chip morsels until just combined.
  6. Scoop by rounded spoonfuls onto your prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 8-9 minutes.
  8. Take them out and let them cool and set up on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. They will continue to cook during this time since the pan is hot. If you don't like ooey gooey cookies, bake them for a bit longer.
