Preheat your oven to 350° & line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream together the wet ingredients for 4 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
1 cup butter flavored Crisco, 1 cup white granulated sugar, ½ cup packed brown sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla extract
In a large bowl, stir together the self-rising flour, salt, and baking soda.
2½ cups self-rising flour, 1½ tsp. salt, 1 tsp. baking soda
Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients BY HAND. Do not over-mix.
Stir in 1-2 cups of chocolate chip morsels until just combined.
Scoop by rounded spoonfuls onto your prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 8-9 minutes.
Take them out and let them cool and set up on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. They will continue to cook during this time since the pan is hot. If you don't like ooey gooey cookies, bake them for a bit longer.
