Method
- Preheat your oven to 325°.
- Fry your bacon until crispy and then crumble it up. Or, cut it into small pieces prior to frying it. Drain on a paper towel lined plate.
- Saute your diced onion for about 7 minutes (until browned) in the bacon grease over medium heat.
- Mix the bacon, onion (with grease), pork and beans, mustard, ketchup, and maple syrup.
- Pour it into a casserole dish, cast iron skillet, or 8 x 8 inch pan, cover, and bake for 45-60 minutes.
