Easy Crockpot Chicken and Dumpling Recipe with Refrigerated Biscuits

Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 10-oz. cans of cream of chicken soup
  • 4 tbsp. sliced butter
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 7½ oz. cans of small refrigerated biscuits, torn (jumbo 16 oz. can of biscuits will work)

  • Crockpot

Method
 

  1. Place the chicken, butter, soup, and diced onion into your crock pot.
  2. Add water to cover the chicken.
  3. Cook on low for 7 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  4. Add the torn biscuits to the crock pot. Carefully push them down so that they are under the liquid.
  5. Put the lid back on and then keep on cooking everything for another hour. You just want the biscuits to be done in the center. This could take more or less time depending on your crock pot.
