Ingredients
Method
- Grease your 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with softened butter or a cooking spray.
- Preheat your oven to 350°.
Caramel Apple Bread
- In a large bowl, mix together the applesauce, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. I just do this by hand. Whisk until well blended.

- Add in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir just until combined. If you stir too much, your bread might go flat while baking.

- Gently fold in the 1 cup of finely diced apples. (about 1 apple)

- Put the batter into your prepared loaf pan.

- Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick or knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

- Take it out of the oven and let it cool in the pan for 15 minutes on a wire rack.
- Take the loaf out of the pan and let it cool for 30 minutes on a wire rack.

Caramel Apple Icing
- In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, caramel topping, and dash of salt.
- Add in the powdered sugar ½ cup at a time and mix well after each addition. This is a thick icing. I don't mix it together until the bread is cool, because it gets too thick. If that happens, just pop it in the microwave for about 20 seconds to soften it a bit for easier spreading.

- I like to make extra icing to serve with each piece, plus a little drizzle of the caramel topping.

- Store any leftovers in an airtight container and enjoy!
