There are moments in life that shape us, but few compare to the profound change that comes from encountering God’s love. How God changed my life stories are more than just personal reflections. They’re a testimony of God’s grace and power at work. For me, everything began when I was a very little girl. That change of heart became the foundation of everything that followed.
The Holy Spirit opens our eyes in ways we can’t explain until it happens. You’ll hear God’s still, small voice for the first time, and though it may seem quiet, it carries a power that changes everything. When you dive into God’s Word, the Bible comes alive, and you realize how powerful it truly is. Scriptures that once seemed distant suddenly connect with your life. Different things that have happened begin to make sense in light of God’s plan. Your entire life will shift as God works through you, giving you a fresh start and a new beginning. You will recognize that you are filled with purpose and clarity you didn’t have before. That’s the beauty of encountering the living God—it transforms every part of who you are.
I hope these testimonies encourage you to reflect on your own journey. Whether you’re just beginning or looking for the next step, I want you to know that Christ’s love is life-changing. It can heal, transform, and breathe new purpose into the everyday moments.
Are you ready to take that next step in faith? God is waiting, and His love is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Faith as A Child
When I was a little girl, I sang the hymns loudly in the pews, surrounded by friends and family. My voice echoed through the church, my heart full of joy as we praised God together. I loved watching people get baptized. At this time it would be in the church baptistry or in my great uncle’s pond on warm summer days. The water rippled as people went under and came back up, their lives forever changed. My faith was simple and strong. I’ll never forget the day I asked my great-grandma to pray to help us find the container in her barn. That is where the Barbies were stored. We needed it so we could make a dress for one of them. I believed without a doubt that God would help us. I felt a little scared to ask for prayer to find it. That little seed of faith and belief inside me knew that God would help us. And, by golly, we found it in the very next container.
Where that Faith Grew
We gathered together every Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. Those times felt like a regular rhythm in my life. The church became my home away from home, where I knew Jesus early on and accepted Him into my life. I felt safe, secure, and loved, knowing that He was always with me. My faith grew with each service, each prayer, and each moment spent in that community of believers. Those childhood memories shaped the foundation of my life and my walk with Christ.
The Power of This Story: How God Changed My Life
This story is such a good reminder that God hears the children. Even the smallest bit of faith can move mountains. When Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me” (Matthew 19:14), He showed us how much He values their trust and simple belief. A tiny prayer from a child is never too small for God to answer. Even the everyday concerns matter to Him. Jesus reminds us in Luke 12:7 that “even the very hairs of your head are all numbered,”. This is showing how much He cares about the smallest details in our lives. Fellowship with other believers helps grow that faith, providing a foundation that shapes the future. This story serves as a reminder that no prayer is too small.
Legacy of Love and Faith
One year, that I can remember in particular, was a Christmas that my grandparents took all of us grandkids shopping for a family in need that they knew. All the grandkids helped purchase and wrap gifts for this mother and her children, who had very little.
We all piled into the vehicle together and delivered the gifts. The look of gratitude and relief on the mother’s face is one that I will never forget. It was a magical Christmas. It was when I first learned that it truly is better to give than to receive. But, Christ calls us to give of ourselves daily, not just during the holiday season.
In a world where so many are out for themselves, I am thankful for godly grandparents who lived out their Christian values each and every day, all year long. Grandparents who never wavered in their faith, who prayed with and for their family daily, and who kept fighting the good fight all the way to the end. They prayed in the morning and at night, but everything in the middle, that is where they lived out their faith for all to see. And I am oh so thankful to have been a firsthand witness to such amazing Christian warriors. They have shaped my life more than they will ever know. They may have been just two ordinary people to some, but they were and will always be heroes to me.

This memory was from a long time ago, but it still shows God’s heart so clearly. These grandparents, who were faithful followers of Christ Jesus, lived out their faith every single day. Their lives reflected the love of Christ and what He did for them. This is a great reminder of how actions show what you value and can carry on to the next generation.
Learning Through Challenges
I’ve always known God and his goodness, but when my son was three, I saw God through him. He broke his femur and was in a full body cast from the waist down for eight weeks. I was a wreck and didn’t know how I was going to be able to take care of my boy. My son ended up taking care of me through the love and positivity God provided him. It was an amazing experience watching and feeling God’s love through my three year old. It truly changed my life and to this day, it helps me to deal with life’s trials by remembering the love and positivity God showed me through my son.

A three-year-old brought unexpected joy and light to the entire family, lifting everyone’s spirits with his innocent positivity and love. The mother, facing life’s trials, began to see each challenge differently through the child’s unwavering sense of hope. This shift opened her eyes to the beauty in small moments, transforming her perspective on hardship. God’s presence became undeniable, guiding her heart with peace and reassurance even in the hardest times. The child’s love reflected God’s grace, reminding her that they were never alone.
How God has changed my life…through motherhood.
I along with many prayer warriors prayed for many years for a baby for our family. God sent us the sweetest baby boy—Silas. God answered my prayers. Pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
As a new mother, I wanted everything to be perfect for Silas. God has taught me through Silas—life will not always be perfect but He who sent this sweet baby will provide for him and protect him. When Silas was only 2 years old, he was diagnosed with Juvenile xanthogranuloma and had to have surgery to have it removed from under his left eye. God protected him. We go to the pediatric ophthalmologist yearly to have his eyes checked for any reoccurrence. Praise God he has not had a reoccurrence.
Most recently, Silas was diagnosed with absence seizures which was very unnerving as his momma. God has and continues to change my heart and life to teach me to pray and rely on His promises and lean on him in my anxiety and worry and know He will protect Silas. Silas loves to ride dirt bikes and God has given me peace to let him continue his passion of riding. God provides our every need. God’s word promises in Deuteronomy 3:16 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” It is through our trials God is revealed deeper to us personally and those around us and He is glorified!

The Almighty God will use motherhood to transform your life in ways you can’t fully grasp yet. Your Christian faith will deepen as you lean on God for wisdom and strength in raising your kiddos. Having a team of believers praying for you and your little ones will lift you up and encourage your spiritual life. Each challenge and blessing will shape you into a stronger, more faithful mother, drawing you closer to God.
Whispers of Faith: A Grandmother’s Love and the Light of Jesus
I came from an unchurched home, with no expression of faith or child mothering. However, I do remember as a child, my grandmother rocking me and singing songs about Jesus. As young as I was, I remember the feeling of being loved by this extraordinary person of faith and seeing Jesus through her.

Grandparents hold incredible power to influence their grandchildren. Through their stories, songs, and unwavering faith, they pass on invaluable lessons and a strong sense of identity. The greatest gift they can offer is the enduring legacy of faith, which can resonate through generations, guiding their families in love and hope.
Guided by Grace: Trusting God Through Our Son’s Autism Journey
When I first learned that my little boy was autistic, my husband and I were both devastated. I remember laying on our bed feeling so scared and I started talking to God. I said, “God, you gave us this child for a reason. We don’t have a clue what to do or how to to help him be the best he can, so I am putting him in your hands, Lord. Lead us to what’s best for him in every decision.” And He did! Praise God.

God stands with us in the toughest moments, giving us strength when we feel helpless. As parents, we often face overwhelming situations, like when our child receives an unexpected diagnosis. Yet, God doesn’t leave us to navigate that fear alone. He equips us with wisdom, surrounding us with support and showing us that His plans are greater than our fears. Even when we don’t know what to do, God guides us step by step, leading us through the unknown.
God’s Word: The Blueprint for Life When the Path is Unclear
Through struggle and times that are tough, God is working. He has shown me that He is near no matter what situation is present. Although no one can predict the future, I can rest in the fact that God has a plan. If I am always striving to be a better person and progress in my faith, God listens. Always be humble and kind. Kindness goes so far and with just a little amount of it, you can change someone’s day. God gave me a blueprint for how to live my life and that is the Bible. Everyone needs more of it. Thank you Jesus!

Listening to that Still Small Voice
I’ll never forget the day I looked out the hotel lobby window to see an older man fall down a pond bank and hit his head on some riprap. I was 13 years old and was with a few other teenage girls. We were going to be spending the night at the hotel for one of their birthdays.
We were checking in and I didn’t want to be rude and interrupt. I also felt embarrassed. At that moment, I knew that being bold was what needed to happen. I started calling for help and trying to get the attention of anyone who would help. It took a minute and people were looking at me like I was crazy, but I didn’t care.
I figured out right then and there about doing the right thing and listening to that “still small voice” that directs and guides you. Something changed in me that day. God used that moment as a way to speak to me and to embolden me. I know it doesn’t sound like much. It really just sounds like doing the right thing, but it was more than that.

Through this gentle voice, they find strength and direction in their journey with Christ.
Chain Breaker: Preparing you ahead of time for the challenges.
I remember barely breathing when my husband was going through a really hard time. He had gradually become addicted to alcohol. Those years were very challenging, lonely, and defeating. God had prepared me for them and never left my side. Looking back and even while I was walking through those times, I could see how God had prepared me for that unforeseen challenge. He never left my side and by His grace and mercy, my husband is sober and what I thought might not ever heal has been restored. Praise Jesus for healing, restoration, and chain breaking.

In His guidance, you find peace and direction for every trial.
Amazing Grace
When our oldest daughter was 16, she had to have brain surgery. She had fluid afterwards and needed a spinal tap. I stood in the hallway praying, as her dad sat with her. I could hear her cries and moans from the pain and I prayed hard. She then starting humming Amazing Grace. We knew then that God was going to take care of her. Although she lost hearing in that ear, her facial nerve was saved. Even in loss, there was a reason to praise Jesus.

Jesus meets us in our pain. He brings us hope when everything seems hopeless. In the darkest moments, whether facing surgeries, illnesses, or difficult diagnoses, Jesus shows up. He offers strength and peace beyond understanding.
The Time of Waiting
I asked the Lord for a third child. They had already told me that I couldn’t have any more children. I talked to the Holy Spirit daily, because I had a desire to have a baby. He blessed me with my third daughter 8 years later. The Holy Spirit knew it was in God’s timing. We have been so blessed with our children.
